Lighting Industry Specialist was established by its founder Marius Goosen in 1986. His focus was to introduce innovative lighting into the lighting specification industry with particular emphasis on Architects, Electrical Consulting Engineers, Developers and Electrical Contractors.

 

Over time LIS evolved into a major Consulting and Lighting Supply company that prides itself on customised turn-key solutions to suit all applications. With the head office base in Pretoria, Gauteng and a satellite branch in the Western Cape, we have successfully completed projects across all the provinces of Southern Africa and more recently Mauritius, Tanzania and Cameroon.

 

LIS is an appointed distributing agent for many well known brands. These include amongst others Philips, Osram, Lightnet, Regent, Lighting and Allied Manufacturers, Pabar, Spazio, Radiant, Eurolux, Aurora and Brightstar. As a distributor of these companies LIS also have Project Partnership agreements with most of the major players in the industry.

Part of the company vision is to present the market with a product offering which has the highest standard and quality. Our offerings also extend to Support, Design Requirements, Energy Saving, LED cost analysis or Illumination of special design projects and for use in the Commercial, Retail, Industrial and Residential markets.
